Over one hundred Abbots Bromley School dancers and musical theatre students performed to packed houses for two evenings of Dance and Musical Theatre on the 16th and 17th March.
The first part of the performance was a delightful children's ballet celebrating the 250th anniversary of the modern circus. It was choreographed by Senior Dance Teacher, Amy Fussell. This was followed by a collection of modern dances using a variety of techniques and styles in addition to musical theatre numbers.
These were performed by recreational dancers and those on the Vocational Dance and Musical Theatre Courses at the school. The final part of the evening was an outstanding performances of Raymonda Act III by the dancers on the Vocational Dance Course. This was staged by Marianne Alkins.
‘I am very pleased with this year’s major dance production. Students of all ages performed beautifully and obviously enjoyed every minute.’ said Mrs Marianne Alkins, Director of Dance at the school.
